Your hours don't get logged here

If you're a high school student working on your 40, that part goes through your school. Once you've volunteered, get your supervisor to sign off, then file the hours wherever your school collects them so guidance can approve them. At a lot of Ontario schools that means Hour Republic.

Youth Unlimited YFC St. Catharines has confirmed this role meets Ontario's rules: unpaid, outside class time, and nothing on the province's list of activities that can't count. NVO doesn't approve hours. Your school does, so check with your guidance office before you start if you're not sure an activity counts. How the 40 hours work

Fields marked * are required.

We check it once against the age range for this opportunity and never store it.

Phone number in three boxes: area code, then the seven digit number, then an extension if there is one.
Emergency contact (optional)

If you'd like Youth Unlimited YFC St. Catharines to have a way to reach a parent or guardian while you're volunteering, add one here. It's optional, and Youth Unlimited YFC St. Catharines is the only one we pass it to. Nobody else gets it, and we don't use it for mailing lists.

Before you send this

By sending this application you're confirming that:

  • You're 13 or older, and you meet the 15+ minimum Youth Unlimited YFC St. Catharines set for this opportunity.
  • The details you've given are your own and are accurate.
  • If you're under 18, a parent or guardian knows you're applying.
  • We'll pass your name, email and answers to Youth Unlimited YFC St. Catharines so they can contact you, and they may record whether you showed up and how many hours you did.
  • Niagara Volunteer is a directory. We don't screen, supervise, employ or vet organizations, and we don't verify volunteer hours. If you need hours signed off for school, your school and the organization's supervisor handle that.
  • You can email privacy@niagaravolunteer.ca any time to see what we hold about you or to have it deleted.

Your info goes to this organization and nowhere else. See our privacy policy.

Keep the details for later

If you're a high school student handing in hours, your school will want to know who you volunteered with and how to reach your supervisor. Save that now so you aren't digging for it in June.

We'll send the address and contact details straight to your inbox.

One email, and that's it. We don't add you to any list.

Snow Buddies

Community Support Services of Niagara

Snow Buddies is a fall prevention measure associated with our Safety at Home program. Our pool of Snow Buddies volunteers oversees the removal of snow from our client’s porch, stairs, walkway and driveway, allowing our clients to safely exit and enter their home. The program runs through the later fall months and winter months of the year. Volunteers do not require transportation as volunteers are matched with clients that live close by their area. Snow shovels are not required as they will be provided for the volunteer by the client. All volunteers need will be some winter boots, a coat, hat, mitts, gloves and anything else to help have them dressed for the cold weather! Help keep our community safe by becoming a snow buddy today!
